Just Another Job
Books enough to fill a lifetime of dreamsAnd nightmares -The Third Reich has surely been done to deathYou might say and time to move on.But somewhere still a few old men might,In the moments they have left,Reflect on that placeMany millions of deaths awayWhen they paid their dues to the devil.
In front of a drawing board, comfortable,Secure, and no doubt well rewardedThey would plan and design the hutsWhich would shame the architectsOf our world who designed battery henAccommodation –And would plan, neatly, the gas chambersWaiting for their guests.
Not for them the revulsion of the troopsWho walked into a world designed by deathPosing as human –Not for them to stand trial before a worldAppalled and sickened by the sight ofMen bulldozing people into a graveThe earth itself might groan to accept.
But they surely supped with the devil when,Dressed in business suits they madeDeath their business –As vile a deal as the vilest deed.
